A retired Northern Kentucky couple makes their last move count.
If you ask Jerry Berling why he bought a Fischer Homes condominium, he will answer with a long list of reasons.
"I simply cannot say enough about it," Jerry said. "I can't say enough about the people here, the house or the neighborhood. This is a great house."
Jerry and his wife Susan have four children, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild. The couple was living in a condominium with shared hallways and a shared entrance. They were unhappy and felt like they were living in an apartment, not a house.
Susan made calls to two builders, and as soon as Sales Counselor Margarita Watkins and Susan spoke, Jerry said they were impressed with Fischer Homes.
"Margarita is great!" Jerry said. "She always told us exactly what we could expect and exactly what was going on. This was something we had never experienced before."
Once Jerry and Susan decided to purchase a condominium at Cascades at Granite Spring in Cold Spring, Ky., they eagerly awaited the day they would have their own front door, plenty of parking and no stairs to navigate.
The couple moved in just before the holidays of 2005, and are very pleased with the house and the continual job done by the groundskeepers.
"Everyone here will bend over backwards for you," Jerry said. "They just do an incredible job."
Enjoying A New Community
Susan and Jerry have decorated their new home, and are looking forward to watching their new community grow. They overlook a lake, and are watching the community clubhouse being built.
"This house has plenty of room," Jerry said. "My wife loves the eat-in kitchen, and she cooks and bakes a lot."
As the couple settle into their new home and make plans for painting and more decorating, they are pleased to realize that they have made their last move.
